A go0d day

Today was a good day, it is a nice feeling when you go to see family that you haven't seen for long or even ones that you see regulary...Anyways as a request from one of the bloggers I will post more on the story of the alchemist but I highlt recommand that one reads the whole book I can't start from the beginning but what it is about is a boy who follows his destiny hoping to find a treasure and for those who are thinking of reading it I will not ruin the ending!
This is the story of a shepherd boy who dreams of travelling the world to seek a treasure he had known about from a dreams he had and was confirmed bu a gypsy and an old man.He travels from his home, Spain, to Tangiers and from there to the Egyptian desert where he meets Fatima the woman he loved. And it is where a fateful encounter with the alchemist awaits him.

Conti...

'Fatima went back to her tent, and, when daylight came, she went out to do the chores she had done for years. But everything had changed. The boy was no longer at the oasis, and the oasis would never again have the same meaning it had had only yesterday. It would no longer be a place with fifty thousands palm tree and three hundred wells, where the pilgrims arrived, relieved at the end of their long journeys. From that day on, the oasis would be an empty place for her. From that day on, it was the desert that would be important. She would look to it every day, and would try to guess which start the boy was following in search of his treasure. She would have to send her kisses on the wind, hoping that the wind would touch the boy's face, and would tell him that she was alive. That she was waiting for him, a woman awaiting a courageous man in search of his treasure. From that day on, the desert would represent only one thing to her: the hope fpr his return.
#### to be continued

The alchemist is a really good book and for those of you who want to read it should not read what I write cuz I am just writting what is almost the end....Please read the whole book it is worth while...Have fun and wait for more...

I will wait for you!

'The two walked out among the palms. The boy knew that it was a violation of the Tradition, but that didn't metter to him now.
"I am going away," he said. "And I want you to know that I'm coming back. I love you because.." "Don't say anything," Fatima interrupted. "One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving."
But the boy continued, "I had a dream, and I met with a king. I sold crystal and crossed the desert. And, becuase the tribes declared war, I went to the well, seeking the alchemist. So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you."
The two embraced. It was the first ime either had touched the other. "I 'll be back," the boy said. "Before this, I always looked to the desert with longing," said Fatima. "Now it will be with hope. My father went away one day, but he returned to my mother, and he has always come back since then."
They said nothing else. They walked a bit farther among the palms, and then the boy left her at the entrance to her tent.
"I'll return, just as your father came back to your mother," he said.
He saw that Fatima's eyes were filled with tears.
"You're crying?"
"I'm a women of the desert," she said, averting her face. "But above all, I'm a woman."

(The alchemist-Paulo Coelho)

The Picture media painted for us...

Yesterday in class we were discussing how media have effected our lives and what image it presents. We see all these skinny models and celebs and automatically think that it is the ideal body structure but what is really the ideal body structure? There are many products like Dove and Special K that are promoting healthy rather than skinny body.
The advertising campaigns for Special K say look good on your own terms. What it basically means that one should not how others tell them to be but be what they want to be.
What is being attractive? Am sure that the definition differs from one person to another.
I have looked at many of the special K ADS and I would have to say am impressed they were very true and effective. It aims to help people understand that being healthy is not about being skinny... Here are some of the ads that I personally like:

IF ONLY DESIGNERS HAD TO LIVE UP TO THE SAME STANDARDS THEY'VE SET FOR US.

A WOMAN'S VALUE SHOULD NOT BE DETERMINED BY THE POUND

DON'T LET IT MEASURE YOUR SELF ESTEEM

I think that everyone should consider this and it is a very important matter today as the media invades not only our homes but our minds.

A wonderful world

When does one have the urge to do something daring? Is it when we are bored? Is it because one could be such a dare devil that they would do anything? Or is it because they are in love? No matter what the reasons are we do it. When this daring thing not only turns to a dare but an obsession what do we do? Do we give into it or let it give into us?

I had the most beautiful day today with a very special person to my heart. It is the best feeling to be with people you love. There is no hate, no envy and no stress. It is safe, happy and best of all there is always love. I have seen the ideal world with no hatred for hours and boy what a good world it is. The hardest part is when I leave and not know when I will see them again. But I will never forget the smile, the tears, the laugh, the looks and the talks we shared. Why is it that the most important people to you are always far and not easily reachable? Why is it that the most beautiful hours past so fast?

In history many events were recorded but it is these events that I record in my history. I hold its memory close to my heart away from those who will ruin it for me.
I love and to love is to sacrifice and risk. In any type of love that is, mother to daughter, man to woman, friend to friend. And I love and to love is to forgive and give, in any type of love that is. I love and to love is to see the world differently, despite all the hate and wars it is a wonderful world to those who love. I love and to love is to lose all sense of reality and live in a world only you and him/her will understand...

I feel sorry for those who don't love and only hate. Hate is only going to hurt the one who grows hate in him/her. So why don't we all let the ones we love know that we still love them and will always do...before it is too late...

'I love you'
